Ford Heritage – OMI

Ford has built some truly iconic cars in its 110-year-plus history.

Cars like the Model T, the first car mass-produced on a moving assembly line. Or the Lotus Cortina, a racing car disguised as an unassuming family saloon. Or the Escort XR3i, an affordable funster beloved of Eighties boy racers.

Ford’s UK outpost has an enviable collection of dozens of those icons. And some of the more prosaic stuff, too. It’s a treasure trove of classics that many enthusiasts would give their right arm for.

Tall Tim and his best mate, Driver Jim, went along to see the Ford Heritage fleet, housed in a warehouse near Ford’s legendary Dagenham factory, to marvel at the cars stashed away there.
