2015 Royal Automobile Club 1000 Mile Trial

The 1000 Mile Trial is hugely popular, drawing a big field of pre-war cars to compete and spectators to watch.

The event is a reliability run rather than a timed competition and, as such, the route is designed to be sympathetic to cars that are 80 years old or more. The navigation isn’t a problem for driving event novices, either, as it only requires map reading and following basic “Tulip” diagrams.

The social side is just as important as the driving and the Trial visits some superb stately homes, castles and museums along the way. The food and hotels of the highest quality, too.
